Muslims want no special treatment

Election 14 is nearing and everyone is gearing up for this election season, Every party feels his chance is bright and will grab number one position in this race. As a community Muslims don’t want to be left out in this democratic churning and they also wants to make maximum out of it. Congress is wooing Muslims in the name of SECULARISM. After Narendra Modi’s declaration of prime minister candidate by BJP. congress is trying to make a point on communal bjp by raking up gujarat cummunal riot issue. BJP On the other hand want to prove how Muslims had achieved and benefited in Gujarat where Narendra Modi is chief minister.

Muslims are not following any one party though it looks like , but no as such pattern is seen. There are lots of faction in Muslims, sunni shia then within sunni there are Barelvi, Deobandi and now newly emerging group Ahle Hadis , shia do have there dawoodi bohra, Khoja not follow dictate there religious leader these all are divide in to different political parties. whenever there are election around, press, media start discussing about how Muslims will do bulk voting for particular party as if any religious leader has given call to do bulk voting. It may have happened where group of Muslims might have supported congress tacitly. But for congress Muslims are always looked as vote-bank. And congress is seen as all inclusive party and Bhartiya Janata Party as communal force. Both of them want there own share of this so called vote bank And focus is on Muslim vote and Muslim comes to center stage and for next 4.5 yrs Muslims are kept aside when development of all other community is going on, budget allocation , area redevelopment , funds for education , employment never happens what is promised in MANIFESTOS. Muslims come to center stage when vote is required. And congress always plays with emotions by promising false thing since last two general elections. Congress is showing carrot of SACHAR COMMITTEE REPORT implementation. which they are not doing being in power. This time in 2014 congress will again talk of sachar committee report implementation. This grand old secular party had always played gimmicks in there 60 yrs rule Muslims condition had gone bad to worse congress had always exploited insecurity among Muslims here are recurring religious riots across India most recently under samajwadi party government Muzaffarpur IN Uttar Pradesh is facing this communal violence, under Gujarat government in 2002 religious riots occured making it worst onslought on muslims in recent history. then there are incidents in Bhagalpur to Bhiwandi to  Moradabad TO Mumbai. Congress make use of this fear psychosis and insecurity among muslims

Paying lip service to its grievances and demands and using dumb politics of tokenism — an Iftar party here and some ‘Muslim’ dummies in ceremonial positions there — the Congress has presided over the meticulous marginalization and dispossession of the community all these years. Within six decades of Independence, the minority has been driven to the margins of Indian society.

 

When the Congress returned to power nine years ago with Muslim votes having played a significant part in its victory, there were great expectations. Under Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh, it was perceived as a different party. Clearly though, the more things change for the Congress and Muslims, the more they remain the same.

 

The elaborate studies and recommendations of government appointed panels — Justice Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra Commission — remain on paper. On the other hand, hundreds of innocent Muslims have been languishing in jails across the country as terrorists or being summarily dealt with as Ishrat Jahan, Qateel Siddiqui, Khalid Mujahid and others have been.

 

No wonder many Muslims see little difference between the BJP and Congress; one is perceived as an open enemy while the other is seen as playing games forever calculating in terms of political constituencies and electoral profit and loss.

The Congress is too preoccupied with its too-clever-by-half calculations about the minority vote and majority sentiment to notice that it ends up squandering both. But in this cynical game of electoral poker and political one-upmanship, the real losers are the Muslims.

 

So this perpetual tirade about the “Muslim appeasement” in Indian media isn’t just unfair and absurd, it’s downright silly. If Muslims had been ‘appeased’ and successive governments had doted on them all these years, would they be in the pathetic state they are in today?

God knows Muslims want no special treatment from anyone. They are not looking for favours and lollipops from governments or politicians. What they need is justice and their just and fair share of the pie with dignity in accordance with their numbers. Is that asking too much?
